Stories, Blood sugar, and Appointments
Sep. 20th, 2023 09:58 pmYou know how sometimes you make a bunch of appointments over the course of several weeks or months, and they all turn out to be within a few days of each other? It turns out that I have a gynecologist appointment, the endocrinologist appointment, and a dentist appointment one after another for three days. That is kind of a lot for me. I had this idea that the endocrinologist appointment was later in the month. Woops! Oh, well. At least, I'll get them all done.
In good news, my blood sugar was looking better this morning, although I did have another nightmare during the night (and thus had to eat an apple). I also forgot to put any rice in this batch of my breakfast soup. We'll see if it makes a difference.
Progress is going well on all my stories. I came up with the idea for a new one. It is a bit silly but could be fun to write. We'll see if I can sustain the enthusiasm for it.
I finally finished the pajama pants that I was sewing. Unfortunately, the power mesh that I was going to use for the elastic was so crappy that it didn't actually do what elastic needs to do. I ended up cutting the elastic off the old pajama pants and using that in the new ones instead. I am super annoyed by this crappy power mesh. Oh, well. It seems like a lot of elastic-based fabric has gotten crappier recently. Good spandex is harder to find. I'm going to have to start ordering from the really good spandex sources (Spandex House, Spandex World, and Rockywoods Fabrics). It isn't that big an issue, since I couldn't get spandex shipped here for some reason anyway. Next, I'll make some more compression socks (with my slightly sub-par spandex), and then I can go back to painting. Yay! I need to start building wood carving skills, though, so I'm going to have to work on that too. And I just found a ton of great looking diy mosaic stuff for the garden.....
