Good but busy
Nov. 28th, 2023 10:33 pmAll is well. I've been spending a lot of time working on background for my writing. I realized that for my long, Mass Effect story, I didn't know what the offscreen characters were doing. That was a problem, because a) it makes it seem like they only appear when called upon, which is lame, and b) it meant that there are times when they should show up but don't, because I have forgotten about them. I got two of the characters with a lot going on right now sorted out. I have at least two left, but they don't have as much going on. Or maybe they do, and I just don't know it yet. Joel and I also worked on planning the next chapter for our story, which I am so excited about! We are finally getting into the real meat of the plot.
I did really well on the treadmill today. Listening to an audio book really helps. I finished up the second Mrs. Pollifax book, which was great, a few days ago and started in on the 4th Murderbot book today. I love both series.
I'm still working on Portuguese. I like the schedule that I'm on with listening, vocab, and verb times. I'm not making shocking amounts of progress or anything, but it is nice to make a little progress a day.
Painting is also going pretty well. I decided to focus more on perspective when painting clouds, and I think my clouds are looking a bit more organized now. I'm still struggling with how to show the puffiness and depth. I'll keep working on it.
