Dragon and Spider
Jun. 14th, 2024 09:46 pmThe dragon looks really good. I'm super happy about him. Yay! I'll have to think of what I learned from painting him. If nothing else, painting him reinforced that I need to make sure to know where the light is coming from in my painting.
Unfortunately, it seems like something, a spider?, bit me a bunch recently. I've got a whole bunch of itchy sores, and a huge red welt spreading up under my arm, like when I got stung by a bee. So, I'll do the same thing as I did for the bee: take allergy pills. I also made a bath of epsom salts. I have no idea if it helped the most recent bites, but everything else (all the sores from the pre-surgery wash) are looking a whole lot better. So long as I have a lot of sores, I think I might try to take daily bath with the epsom salts. I'm done with being covered in itchy sores.
Did I tell you guys about the hat? I think I at least mentioned that I wanted to make a bucket hat. Well, I did last Saturday when I couldn't go to writers group. I wasn't sure if I liked it, but I have since decided that I do. Since I mainly need it for tai chi days, I finished it up this morning so that I can wear it tomorrow.
Joel finished putting in the big paving rocks in front of our door. Also, the cleaner and sealant for the kitchen floor came. The next step for both of these things is mortar, so I'm hoping we can mix some up on Sunday and slap it on. I really really want to get some of these projects done. I know some of the other projects will really take a while, but this is something that (I don't think) will take all that long to cross off the list.
