Toe, stomach, and book
Jun. 17th, 2024 05:51 pmI think my poor toes are starting to heal. I've been keeping them uncovered, and they have dried out a little.
On the flip side, I just ate some slightly old jello that may have been too old. I hope I didn't make myself sick. Also, the hiccups aren't helping.
In much better news, I'm making progress with reading the first book of an old British series for kids translated into Portuguese. While I normally wouldn't buy a translation, the series is really well known, so it is partly "have the same background as fellow humans" research. Normally, I'm not interested in paper books, but if you need your phone to use as a dictionary (and it is way easier to use a paper book and an electronic dictionary than the other way around), then it is definitely better than trying to switch back and forth between apps. (Yes, some apps have built in dictionaries, but not the shitty Adobe one I had to use for the DRM-protected book.)
