Oh, yeah.... walls
Oct. 18th, 2024 02:38 pmI had forgotten that before we can put the shelves onto the ledge above the bed, we need to first check for cracks or holes in the wall, fill any holes, and then paint. So, that's today's job. The kind of paint they use here (the lime paint) is made of powdered rock and is considered good for filling thin cracks. So, now, the question is just if the few cracks I saw are bad enough that they need actual mortar. I think no, but I'm asking Joel for a second opinion.
Well, Joel checked the crack and removed some broken chunks. That meant we needed to do more patching. So, now that is done. I'm tempted to whip up a bunch more of the patching material and cover the chunk of wall by my desk that seems to constantly be shedding bits of sand and stone. As far as I can tell, the sections above and below it are fine. It is just this one band that is falling apart. If I covered it, then I could paint it when I paint everything else. That would be fantastic, as I am really tired of this wall shitting sand all over my desk and electronics.
