Cleaning up
Dec. 15th, 2024 07:39 pmI ended up skipping tai chi today, which was changed from Saturday. I was disappointed, but it has been a really busy week. There are so many things at home that weren't getting done, and it was just time to focus on what was most important. So, I finally went through all the stuff that was piled throughout the house and put much of it away. We still have a ton of wood, but I put all the power tools up on top of the new shelf (which isn't terribly classy looking but is way better than having boxes piled everywhere) and put a lot of the hand tools away in a box in one of the shelf cubbies. I also put the scooter back into the box that it came in, since we aren't using it, and it is ridiculous to have it and the box sitting out in the middle of the floor. We're going to try to put it in the shed behind the washing machine, since everyone knows that the more inconvenient the place you put it, the more likely it is that you will immediately need it. We'll keep trying to sell it.
I was going to mix the podcast, but I think I'll accept that it isn't going to get done today, and just make dinner. I have nothing planned for tomorrow (besides all the normal stuff), so it won't kill me to delay it until then. If I can get it done, then I can start sewing on Tuesday. It would be so nice to finally get working on that. Joel is talking about finishing up some of his sewing projects too. I think a lot of the big projects, like the armoire, getting the tree guys to come in, talking to someone to repair the stone wall outside our house, and that kind of stuff will wait until after the holidays. I emailed the water heater installers again, as the company he emailed most recently to try to get our water heater repaired hasn't responded either.
