Finishing Up

We finished the first session of our "Kingmaker" game (from the Paizo Pathfinder Adventure Path). Our players had a good time, and I had a good time. The highlights were having our halfling join another halfling in a project to put a rat into a very unpleasant baroness's giant hat. Our halfling rolled very well on acrobatics and executed a lovely somersault in the air while depositing the rat. The players also ended up using intimidation (and the threat of a catapult, which couldn't have actually hit the bad guys) to capture four bandits without a fight. I was quite pleased with how everything went. It wasn't super high drama or incredibly dark and tense, but that isn't really what the players were going for. There is enough backstory for three of the players that I definitely need to do some planning to come up with subplots to help them tie up loose ends. That should be a lot of fun too.
My biggest triumph was having translated the charter that the players are given into Russian and making it look fairly nice.

This morning, I was finally able to finish up the last bits of my RSS reader. Yay! There's a lot to read, and my ability to process it all isn't sometimes up to the job. However, I do enjoy sampling so many cool ideas, even if I don't always have the stamina to read all of them.

I've got plenty of things to do after the last week of doing almost nothing but preparing for the game. Still, I plan on relaxing too.
