Still gettin' stuff done
Jan. 24th, 2024 08:45 pmWell, I'm still in that really productive mode that I get in after something stressful. It is nice to be able to get a lot done, although I accept that it won't last forever and that I'll potentially take a really long time to recover. Sometimes, it takes years. That's okay, though. I'm in a nice place, and everything that needs to be done can be done slowly. I did a bit of drawing for the owl birthday card today, plus I took a walk, was able to hang our clothes in the sun, pulled weeds, and a bunch of other little things. Happily, I've been doing better at getting my schedule moved earlier. Today, I was up by 8:30am (without an alarm)! Yay! It will be a zillion times easier to get up at 7am on Saturday if I'm only getting up a little bit earlier.
I also have figured out what to do with all our cardboard, since I plan on composting it but don't want to do it all at once. I'm going to cut the bigger pieces down so that none of the sides or flaps are attached. Then, I'll separate smaller pieces (to be used for composting sooner) and larger pieces (which may be used for other projects, and if not, will be used for composting later). I can then put the larger pieces into one or two large boxes that we can store on the ledges upstairs, since right now, the giant box full of boxes is blocking the part of the upstairs that looks down on the first floor, which means that the airflow from the heater is much worse. Also, it is just annoying to have this massive box taking up so much space. I have a few other boxes that can be organized too, like the box of occasionally used small appliances that are all in their own individual boxes, the box of paperwork, and a box of stuff to give away. If I can get them up onto ledges for now, then we'll have a lot more floor space. At least, I've finished cutting out the major parts of the boxes that I'll use for organizing my art supplies. So, hopefully, those will be put away soon.
