Progress on the kitchen floor

lillilahJoel scrubbed the loose bits of grout off the kitchen floor, and I washed it (including scraping off some melted crayon). I'm going to vacuum it and then wash it again tomorrow, as it was pretty filthy. With luck, I'll feel like that is good enough and, when dry, will then put on the sealant.
I've been working on a beach shell painting for a friend too. But I was too zoomed in on the reference photo, so I put one of the parts in the wrong place, and then I was too lazy to move it, so I ended up making a much different, more macro version of the shell painting. Painting each grain of sand is a pain in the butt. However, I'm getting there. I can still get it done before Saturday if I spend a couple of hours on it each day for the next couple of days. I think it will be pretty cool when it is done. My mom painted a painting of a really zoomed in top of a boot when I was a kid, and I always loved that painting (and a lot of my mom's paintings). When I look at this, it reminds me a bit of the boot.
I just finished book 2 of the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. It is so funny, touching, and sad. And really clever. Definitely worth reading for anyone who has played enough video games to know what a loot box is.
I didn't have much of any result with the 0.1g of magnesium from last night. Not a shock, as it was just the tiniest amount. I've doubled that to a bit over 0.2g for tonight. Let's see what happens! Also, taking the mattress off the bed and vacuuming the whole thing _seems_ to have gotten rid of the bug that was biting the crap out of me. There is still something biting me, but I don't have new giant blisters that burst and take months to stop itching and finally heal. Let's keep our fingers crossed that I got the bug. I clearly need to add removing the mattress and vacuuming the bed frame to my monthly cleaning list for the future.
