Sometimes, a person asks you a question that makes the subject seem really complicated. And in your mind, that presentation makes the subject complicated. And you struggle to answer the question, because it has suddenly become complicated. Last week, the physical therapist was trying to figure out why I have more movement problems when I am relaxed as opposed to when I am stressed. He kept proposing all kinds of things, like I am no longer focused on something else, so I have started worrying about all the things I have to do (because he still doesn't understand/accept that I don't sit around worrying. If I stress about something, then I make a plan for how to resolve the situation. Stressing about something is a problem that I can fix FFS.). Anyway, I got all caught up in his "oh, this is something that is hard to explain". Later, I thought of PTSD, which is a condition where you can function in certain stressful situations and then function less well after. I came up with something else too (burnout). In the back of my mind, I've been trying to figure out how to explain this problem that I have and planned on talking to my psychologist to get a really professional answer. Today, I finally realized what the answer is. If I wasn't so completely unable to think when under pressure, I don't think it would have taken so long. Anyway, the answer is that I get tired. Tiredness is a state that comes often after a state of productivity or exertion when you are no longer able to do the things you were able to do just moments before. If you have over-exerted yourself, you might experience tiredness for a while. If you have an injury, you might experience tiredness more quickly than average people and might have more pronounced effects.

So, yeah, now I can answer that question. * rolls eyes * He will probably come up with some other idea about my problems, but at least he is trying to understand. It would be worse if he just assumed.
