We have a bunch of flower pots in our garden, most of which have either bulbs or some kind of plant that requires a fair amount of water. My new goal is to replace most of the plants that aren't bulbs with succulents that handle a lot of sun and don't require frequent watering. There are a few different kinds of succulents in the garden so far, but of course, there are a billion kinds of succulents. On the other hand, some do better in really strong sunlight all day than others, so I'll have to take that into consideration. Even if we end up only having a few varieties, it will still be fine. And I can use tall ones in place of some of the leafy potted plants that either get totally eaten by bugs or dry out in the summer.
